The Vennel: Edinburgh in Pen & Watercolour

✨ New watercolor experiment! ✨

This time I played with a different style: I sketched The Vennel directly in pen and then added splashes of watercolor following light and inspiration in the moment. The result? A fresh, loose view of one of my favourite spots in Edinburgh.

The Vennel is a staircase leading down to the Grassmarket, with a breathtaking view of Edinburgh Castle rising above the rooftops. It’s such a magical corner of the city—and I loved capturing it in this spontaneous way.

🖌️ Prints and products featuring this artwork are available on Redbubble—so you can carry a piece of Edinburgh with you!

My first job? Web designer.
But I’ve always drawn and sketched. And as you’ll see here, I’ve developed my own personal style inspired by one of my greatest passions: Scotland.
